Sustipan, part of Marjan Hill Park is the oldest deep-water solo climbing area. You can eventually end your day by walking all the way up Marjan Hill to Telegrin, the highest Marjan peak. The breathtaking view of Split and its surroundings will leave you speechless. You make your way through the old Varos quarter. A staircase can be found at the end of Matejuska. Climbing uphill will bring you to the Vidilica, where you can refresh in the Café Vidilica with stunning views.

The huge Diocletian’s Palace is covered almost half of Old Split. It was built in the name of the Diocletian Roman emperor. The Palace is mostly similar to a fortress, half of it was taken for Diocletian use and another was a part for militaries. (Visit from outside)

Charming alleys and maze streets of Old Varos crosses each other creating unforgettable charming atmosphere of Middle-aged city. You will see traditional peasant buildings, wine cellars and ground floors.

Marjan hill is said to be a spiritual havens for the citizens of Split, they used to test the faith by walking to the holly hill. The small church on the way to the uphill of Marijan was build in the name of St Nicholas the Traveler.
