Welcome to Tromsø! My name is Mirko and, since 2018, I have been lucky enough to dedicate myself to the most beautiful work in the world: to welcome you, Arctic explorers, and to accompany you to discover my city, the breathtaking landscapes that surround it and the dancing lights of the north.
In the summer of 2025 I brought my own project to life: my goal is to offer you an authentic and unforgettable experience, sharing with you all my passion for the Arctic — for its rich and fascinating history, its living culture, its wilderness, the silent twilights of the polar night and the warm tones of the midnight sun.
This tour is designed for the curious, for those who love to explore and learn. My minivan is equipped with an internal microphone, which will allow me to easily share my extensive knowledge of local history and culture throughout the journey.

Kvaloya
On this tour we will cross Kvaløya, the “Island of Whales”, a territory of fjords, mountains, valleys and lakes that offers some of the most spectacular landscapes in the region. In summer, I propose this excursion in the afternoon, when the warm and soft light of the midnight sun transforms the landscape, painting it with long shadows and golden colors; in winter, on the other hand, we will take advantage of the few hours of light available, the so-called “blue hour”, which will dye the snowy landscape with the magical tones of twilight. Along the way, we will not only make several stops to admire the most impressive viewpoints, but also talk about the history and culture of the region: life in Tromsø, the climate, the midnight sun, the polar night, the Sami culture and much more. Besides, I will be happy to answer any curiosity you have.
Sommaroy
Once we reach Sommarøy, the “Summer Island”, we will take a brief panoramic tour of the village, stopping at one of the wonderful white sand beaches that make this island such a charming place.
