You will get a tour of Terezín's Small Fortress, which used to be a gestapo prison during WWII. Your guide will explain you when and why the fortress was built and how Nazi regime used it to prosecute political prisoners. You'll see the conditions people lived in and see original video footage from the WWII depicting "ideal" life of people in Terezín.
Before entering Small Fortress you'll see Terezin Memorial, located on the ground of former mass grave.
Explore with your guide history of Terezín's big fortress, which used to be a Jewish Ghetto in WWII. You'll walk through its streets, see what's left from the time of ghetto, visit a crematorium located just outside its walls and last you'll explore a part most people miss - its's unique baroque fortification system, which at the time of its completion was the best in Europe. You'll get a chance to explore tunnels inside its walls and learn how the fortification system worked.
