Chronicles Of Georgia

Discover the best of Tbilisi sightseeing with our private tour. We begin with a visit to the Chronicles of Georgia, located about 25 minutes from the city center. This massive stone monument is often referred to as the “Georgian Stonehenge” or “Georgian History Memorial”. Designed by Zurab Tsereteli and constructed in 1985 during the Soviet era, the monument features 16 towering columns—each reaching up to 35 meters high. The upper sections depict famous kings, queens, and national heroes, while the lower panels illustrate scenes from Georgia’s 3,000-year history. The site also offers a breathtaking panoramic view of Tbilisi Sea, making it a perfect place to start your journey through the story of Georgia.

Tbilisi Holy Trinity Cathedral

Of course, we won’t miss one of the most important landmarks of Tbilisi — Sameba Cathedral, also known as the Holy Trinity Cathedral and often called a symbol of modern Georgia. Rising 101 meters high on Elia Hill, Sameba is the tallest church in Georgia. Its golden dome can be seen from almost anywhere in the city, and its sheer size and beauty are truly breathtaking. The cathedral is part of a large complex that includes the residence of the Patriarch, a monastery, a theological seminary and academy, and nine chapels, five of which are located underground.
