Taiwan Alishan 2-Day Tour: Fenqihu & Zhushan Sunrise Trail

Drive to Alishan Forest Recreation Park by yourself and gather at 13:30 to go to the attractions in Alishan Forest Recreation Park. Passengers who drive by themselves must arrive at Alishan Visitor Center before 13:00 at the latest.

It is recommended that visitors arrive early to avoid having to park outside the park entrance due to the parking lot being full.

Visitors can arrive at the Alishan Visitor Center by themselves and park their vehicles in the parking lot in front of the Alishan Visitor Center.

It is recommended that travelers go to Alishan Shopping Street to have lunch (lunch is at your own expense)

Gather to go to the attractions in Alishan Forest Recreation Park. If you drive yourself, please arrive at Alishan Visitor Center before 13:00 at the latest

Route: Visitor Center (take the tour bus) → Zhuoping Station → Sisters Pond/Four Sisters/Three Brothers/Golden Pig Announces Good News/Eternal Love → Mulan Garden → Shouzhen Temple → Tudigong Temple → The Highest Institution of Learning ~ Xianglin Elementary School → Thousand-Year-Old Cypress → Tree Spirit Tower → Xianglin Sacred Tree → Jinggong Monument → Ciyun Viewing → Three Generations Wood/Elephant Trunk Wood/Xianglin Arch Bridge/Alishan Work Station → Shouzhen Temple (take the tour bus) → Alishan Visitor Center. A. Sunrise viewing at Yushan National Park (with professional tour guide)

Accompanied by the starry sky, a special car will take you to Yushan National Park to watch the sunrise, and then to Zizhong to overlook the magnificent peaks of Yushan. Along the way, there are the Yushan National Park Monument; the Lulin Sacred Tree (about 2,800 years old); and then to the Wild Macaque Sanctuary to admire the adorable Taiwan macaques. Their funny appearance can easily capture the hearts of netizens. Following the humorous explanations and introductions of the tour guide, you can increase your knowledge and experience. B. Take the sunrise viewing train to watch the sunrise (round trip tickets are provided)

Please go to Alishan Train Station and take the Sunrise Viewing Train to Zhushan Train Station to enjoy Taiwan's famous sunrise and sea of ​​clouds (about 25 minutes one way). The train departure time may change depending on the season. Please ask the counter for the exact time.

A. Shuishan Giant Tree Trail

The Shuishan Giant Tree Trail is a beautiful trail that looks like a fairyland. It is about 1.6 kilometers long and the entrance is only a five-minute walk from Numadaira Station. Because it has just been renovated, not many tourists know about it, so it is deserted when walking through it, and it feels like you are in a fairyland. The trail is named after the giant trees on Shuishan Mountain because there is a 2,700-year-old sacred red cypress tree at the end. (The round trip takes about 1.5 hours)

B. Zhushan Sunrise Viewing Trail

Walk to the Alpine Botanical Garden, the highest landmark of Alishan. This is a private attraction far away from the hustle and bustle and has a unique and quiet atmosphere. It is also open in conjunction with the six-star Ogasawara Mountain Observatory, where you can see the three major mountain ranges in Taiwan (Central Mountain Range, Yushan Mountain Range and Alishan Mountain Range). You can also clearly see the 3,952-meter Yushan Peak, the highest peak in Taiwan, and the "Yushan Thistle" plant on the 1,000-yuan bill. (The round trip takes about 2.5 hours)

You can drive to famous attractions such as Fenqihu, Tianchangdijiu Bridge, Niupuzai Prairie (Silk Road of Love), and Huiyisenhuo Village. After the trip, drive back to your warm home.

Fenchihu: After arriving at Fenchihu, you can visit Fenchihu Station, the old steam locomotive, the square bamboo and Fenchihu Old Street. When you visit the century-old street, don't miss the train cakes, grass cakes, iron eggs, Fenchihu special tofu and aiyu in the old street.

Tian Chang Di Jiu Bridge: The upper part is Tian Chang Bridge, and the lower part is Di Jiu Bridge. It is said that if lovers cross the two bridges hand in hand, they will be together forever.

Niupuzai Grassland: Also known as the "Alishan No. 18 Love Silk Road", there is an endless green grassland where you can run, jump and roll to your heart's content. The many sweet art installations around it make the Silk Road trail even more romantic. Recently, "Wang Lai Shan" has opened here, making it even more lively. Wang Lai Shan uses pineapples grown in Minxiong, Chiayi, and their pineapple cakes are truly MIT pineapple cakes. Don't miss it when you come here. As long as you enter Wang Lai Shan, the clerk will give you a piece of pineapple cake to taste, and you can also make a cup of tea and take a break.

Hinoki Forest Village: It is the largest Japanese-style building complex in Taiwan. During the Japanese colonial period, Hinoki Town was an official dormitory built based on the Alishan Forestry Development. Because the building materials are mainly Alishan cypress, the whole area looks like a cypress village, so it was named "Hinoki Town" at the time, and later changed to "Hinoki Village".
