The tour continues, revealing the majestic coastline of nearby island Thirassia, leading to Oia, St.Epta Pedes and caldera coast.* Afterwards we hoist our sails and navigate along Asponisi Islet to experience the absolute magic of the most beautiful sunset in the world, on the way back to Vlychada Marine.

Red Beach

Akrotiri LighthousePass-by Only
The Akrotiri lighthouse, which was manufactured by a French company in 1892, is among the first lighthouses in Greece. It stopped operating during World War II but started again in 1945 with a reconstruction by the Greek Navy. Originally it was powered by petrol fuel until 1988 that it became automatic. The tower above the lighthouse keeper’s house is 10 meters high and emits a luminous white light.
Palea Kameni
Palea Kameni was formed by a series of eruptions between 197 BCE and 47 CE. The island was gradually built up by further volcanic activity, though outright eruptions ceased by the end of the 1st century CE. No signs of activity were reported on the island until 726.
