Fafião is one of the 15 places in the parish of Cabril. Community-based pastoral village, cious to preserve its identity and culture. It is possible to see physical/architectural traces of medieval times and get to know the culture and ancestral traditions that pass from generation to generation.

Barroso Eco-Museum

The museum consists of several buildings, including a traditional house, a water mill, and a threshing floor, that have been restored and adapted for the exhibition of different aspects of local life. Visitors can explore the museum and learn about the traditional agricultural practices, handicrafts, and folklore of the Barroso region.

The Wolves Fojo of Fafião: A "Fojo" is a traditional hunting method used in Portugal and Spain to trap wolves and other predators, typically using a funnel-shaped pit with walls that gradually narrow towards the bottom. The Wolves Fojo of Fafião is one of the few remaining examples of this traditional hunting technique in Portugal.
