Forbidden City-The Palace Museum
The Forbidden City is located in Beijing, China. It was the imperial palace of the Ming and Qing dynasties in China and was formerly known as the Purple Forbidden City. It is situated at the center of Beijing's central axis. The Forbidden City is one of the largest and best-preserved ancient wooden architectural complexes in the world. When visiting the Forbidden City, the tour guide will carefully explain the stories behind each palace to you, allowing you to deeply appreciate the profoundness and vastness of Chinese culture and feel the long history of China.
Mutianyu Great Wall
This is the Great Wall we recommend for the option "Forbidden City &Great Wall". You can also go to Badaling Great Wall, Juyongguan Great Wall and Huanghuacheng Water Great Wall according to your own preferences to start our exploration journey of the Great Wall, witness the greatest defense works in Chinese history and listen to the tour guide explain the stories behind the Great Wall.
Summer Palace (Yiheyuan)
This is the scenic spot we are going to visit for the option "Forbidden City &Summer Palace". The Summer Palace, a royal garden during the Qing Dynasty of China, was formerly known as the Clear Garden. It was built on the sites of Kunming Lake and Longevity Hill, based on the scenery of West Lake in Hangzhou, and drawing on some design techniques and artistic conceptions of Jiangnan gardens. It is a large natural landscape garden. It is the most well-preserved royal Summer Palace garden and is known as the Royal Garden Museum.

To go from the Forbidden City to the next scenic spot, we need to take the subway or Uber at our own expense. If you need a private car for full pick-up and drop-off service, you can inform us and we will provide you with an estimated cost in advance. The option "Forbidden City &Great Wall" already includes private car pick-up and drop-off services. We will pick you up at the hotel and then start your journey.
Meeting Points
- If you choose the subway tour, we will meet outside the Jinyuhutong subway Station of Beijing Metro Line 8, Exit C, your guide will wait for you outside the station, then Walk to the Eastern Gate of the Forbidden City(about 15 minis walk).Then start your tour of the Forbidden City.
End Points
- This is the ending point of the option "Forbidden City &Summer Palace". After we visit the Summer Palace, you can take Subway Line 4 to Xidan Station, the commercial center of Beijing, for free shopping and sightseeing.
- This is the ending point of the option "Forbidden City& Temple Heaven". After we visit the Temple of Heaven, you can go to Hongqiao Market at the east gate of the Temple of Heaven by yourself, or take Metro Line 5 to visit Yonghegong and Guozijian, or experience Wudaoying Hutong.
