Our first stop is the enchanting Schloss Leopoldskron, a lakeside palace steeped in history and cinematic charm. Stift NonnbergPass-by Only
Our next destination provides a breathtaking panorama of Nonnberg Abbey, a location steeped in cinematic and historical significance. This very site marks the inception of the beloved narrative from the movie. Then on to the Frohnburg Palace, which was also chosen as the location for exterior shots of the Trapp family’s mansion. This is where Maria danced along the tree-lined Hellbrunner Allee to the song “I Have Confidence“. Today it houses part of the Mozarteum University, one of the world’s most famous music conservatories.
