Where you may get your hands on a real koto and give it a whirl; the staff notation on this instrument makes it accessible to musicians of all backgrounds. In this workshop, you will learn to play one song.

What's included in Private Koto Workshop Tatami Room in Tokyo
(Subject to Option Inclusions)I will meet you at the station ticket gate and take you to the tatami room where the event will be held. You can actually touch and play the koto, and since this koto uses staff notation, even foreigners can easily play a tune. You will be able to play one song in this workshop. Self-introduction, explanation of the xylophone, song selection, etc. (5 minutes) We will actually adjust the size of the koto by putting on the koto nails with adjusters. (5 minutes) Let's check the position of Do Re Mi and play a note. (10 minutes) Let's play a song of your choice on the xylophone. (15 minutes) Let's play together. (15 minutes) Take pictures and experience the koto and give your impressions and feedback (5 minutes) Other notes You cannot play the koto if you have long nails. Please cut them short. Please note that we cannot be responsible for any broken nails during the performance.
