With our selection of local food treats you can check off a lot of things on your Icelandic food bucket list, and you sure won’t be disappointed with the quality of the restaurants we handpicked as our partners.
Our Reykjavik food walk is also good to get oriented in the old Reykjavik city center. All our guides are graduates from the Icelandic Tourist guide school but more importantly, they know how to entertain as well as to educate.
The only bad thing on this tour is the fermented shark, but hey, it's an adventure, and what does not kill you makes you stronger and cooler back home ;).
One of the best things about doing a food tour is getting a sense of the history of the country while eating something delicious & exciting. You will also get tips on Food, Fun & Drink for the rest of our stay in Reykjavik so perfect as one of the first stops while in Reykjavik.
We do of course accommodate dietary restrictions & allergies but traditional Icelandic food is meat, fish, and dairy.
Pickup included
We meet up in the old Reykjavik city center by the two stone pillars which signify how the original settler of Iceland and Reykjavik decided to settle
We start off down by the Reykjavik harbor with a great appetizer: An Icelandic shellfish soup
No Reykjavik Food Tour is complete without a stop at the one and only Icelandic Hot dog stand where you sample a delicious Lamb hot dog. Beware of copycats.
You can choose to be picked up from a list of locations, or alternatively, have the choice to make your own way to the meeting points
Please arrive at the pick up point 5 minutes before departure time.
We offer pickup from the hotels/accommodations within the specified radius. If you are staying outside of the downtown area we kindly ask you to meet us at Ingolfur Square (by the 2 big stone pillars) We recommend using Google Maps! (The square is located right next to Center Hotels Plaza) Your guide will be wearing a light blue jacket that´s easily recognizable. If you have any questions please feel free to reach out!
