You will be picked up from your hotel/ airport by the guide and start the drive to Chauk Market, where you can explore a wide variety of local goods. Afterwards, you will continue to drive to Salay and visit the 130 year old monastery with 52 pagodas and temples dating back to the Bagan Era. Woodcarving depicting Buddha's life is one of the most unique features of the monastery. After visiting this spot, we will provide a traditional lunch at Salay House. Later on, we will continue to drive up to Mt. Popa, an extinct volcano which is known as the "Home of the Spirits", where you can observe the life and industries of rural Myanmar. We may stop along the way for photos as the scenery is beautiful. Afterwards, we can climb up 777 steps to reach the top of Mt. Popa and visit the "Nat" sites to learn about the legends that surrounds the mountain. At the top, you will find Mt. Popa Monastery, which offers incredible 360-degree views of the surrounding plains for you to enjoy the landscapes of the plains.
