Follow me for the day in the steps of the American soldiers, in Pointe of Hoc, Omaha beach and the US Cemetery
We will follow the historical and chronological itinerary of the American DDAY : you will discover the history of heroic soldiers, the memory of fighting in a land of sacrifice. During your tour you will be walking on concrete, gravel paths, on sand on grass and you will be in Normandy!!
As a historian of the Second World War, as a person from this land, born in Normandy, I will give you the opportunity to live a unique experience at the meeting of the most famous squares but also less famous places and yet marked by the sacrifice of the heroes of 1944.
Pickup included
Visit the german battery and the site taken by the US rangers on the morning of june 6. We will undertand how the battery was before the attack and the kind of battle it was during 3 days.
Three stops on Bloody Omaha ! You will see the german defenses and how the US infantry did the job. A place to see with the 29th infantry division, the Let's go, and the Big red one. And a place where the American temporary cemetery number 1 was.
Visit of the visitor center with our guide and after the visit of the US cemetery. You will walk between the graves to understand who were the American soldiers during the battle of Normandy.
You can choose to be picked up from a list of locations, or alternatively, have the choice to make your own way to the meeting points
