The Petersen Automotive Museum, situated on Wilshire Boulevard in Los Angeles, is among the world's largest nonprofit automotive museums. Established in 1994 by Robert E. Petersen and Margie Petersen, the museum is dedicated to exploring, educating, preserving, and promoting the automobile's legacy and culture, particularly within Los Angeles.
With over 500 automobiles, including rare ones like Steve McQueen's 1956 Jaguar XKSS and the iconic Back to the Future Delorean "Time Machine," the museum spans more than 120 years of automotive history. The ever-changing collection is showcased in 25 galleries, offering visitors a unique experience and insight into automotive culture.
