The luminous lagoon at Glistening Waters is one of 4 natural bioluminescent bays in the world! Jamaica's luminous lagoon is considered the brightest of them all and attracts visitors and scientist from all over the world.

When the organisms that live in the water is disturbed, the Lagoon glows a beautiful blue light and when it rains, you are in for a spectacular light show. The harmless microorganisms live in this unique bay that was formed from the fresh waters of the Martha Brae River mixed with the salty water of the Caribbean Sea.

This is an experience of a lifetime and you have the option to take a dip in the water, go swimming or just splash around.

Dinner is also available at the location if you choose to dine out.

The Luminous Lagoon is a natural phenomenon that causes objects in the water to appear as if they are glistening and glowing. You will be taken by boat out on the Lagoon where you will learn about the benefits of this amazing mineral water attraction and what causes it to be one of only 4 bioluminescent bays in the world. You have the option to take a dip or swim in the water and see yourself glow or simply splash around. The more you splash, the brighter the glow! As the fishes streak through the water, you will marvel at the streak of light that illuminates the water all around you.
