Oak Alley is named for its distinguishing visual feature, an alley thats created by a double row of Beautiful live oak trees about 800 feet long, planted in the early 18th century — The Oak Alley slave economic success contribute to Louisiana rapid growth in the global Sugar trade. By the 1850s Louisiana planters were producing a quarter of the worlds cane- sugar supply, making Louisiana the second-richest state in Per capital wealth.

Important Hotel Pick-Up Information (Plantation Tours Only) Hotel pick-up is available only for Plantation Tours (Whitney, Oak Alley, Laura, and Combo Tours). Pick-up time is between 8:00 AM – 8:30 AM. Since this is a shared tour, please be patient as the driver makes multiple stops. If you're staying within a 1.2-mile radius of 414 Canal Street, pick-up is available. If not, please meet us at 414 Canal Street. Please allow up to 30 minutes for the bus to arrive. If it’s after 8:35 AM and you haven’t been picked up, give us a call, and we’ll let you know when the bus will be there. Look for a white bus with our logo pulling up in front of your hotel.
