We begin under the historic arch in front of Lucerne’s main train station (Bahnhofplatz 6003), a central and convenient starting point for our journey.
KKL Luzern - Lucerne Culture and Convention Centre
From the viewing terrace near the KKL (Culture and Congress Centre Lucerne), enjoy stunning views of Lake Lucerne and the surrounding Alps. There your guide will share a short introduction to Lucerne’s history and highlight the modern architecture of the KKL as a symbol of the city’s cultural life today.
Chapel Bridge
Step onto the Chapel Bridge (Kapellbrücke), the oldest surviving wooden covered bridge in Europe. Admire the painted panels under the roof depicting scenes from Lucerne’s history and mythology. Your guide will explain the bridge’s role and history.

- We’ll meet in front of Lucerne’s main train station, under the arch monument (Torbogen Luzern) at Bahnhofplatz 6003. I will be holding a sign with your name on it.
End Points
- The tour ends at the Pilatus cable car base station in Kriens (Pilatus-Bahnen, Schlossweg 1, 6010 Kriens). From there, you can return to Lucerne by public bus in about 15 minutes.
