You'll learn how to make authentic Japanese sweets by easy recipe which can be downloadable. You don't need to bring anything! Everything is provided at the lesson. Solo and family friendly too. This is a private lesson (if your group is more than 3 people), therefore you can learn step by step at your pace. Classes take place in a private residence where you can relaxed in a cozy atmosphere.
You can get all the portrait photos and videos taken during the class for your special experience!
My class is held in a quiet residential neighborhood, just 15 minutes by train or car from central Tokyo. Before and after the lesson, you can explore local shops, supermarkets, cafes, shrine, and a famous public bath. It’s a great chance to experience the peaceful charm of daily life in Japan—just a short escape from the busy city! The menu is made from plant-based products that are easily available in your own country. Appropriate for vegetarians with vegan options available.
Since our recipe are simple and easy, you can recreate them by yourself for your family and friends after you return to your country. Ingredients are also easily available in your own country, and are made from plant-based products, this class is appropriate for vegetarians, too. In addition to making Mochi and Wagashi, we will also introduce the history of Mochi. We will teach you various ways to eat Mochi. In my lesson, you can learn how to make mochi using glutinous rice flour. Using the mochi you will learn how to make strawberry Daifuku (Out of Strawberry season, we use Pineapple or Kiwi), and Dango (mochi balls in a skewers) + two kinds of "Nerikiri wagashi"—traditional Japanese sweets. (Motifs will be changed according to the season.) You will learn how to shape the dough into a seasonal motif. The dough is made and colored in advance but you will have access to the tutorial video) After the lesson, you can taste your creations with a bowl of matcha green tea which you make along with my guidance, or take them with you in a special box.
