Blast off on our Miniatures Stage Tour to see the unbelievable Weta Workshop models and miniatures built for the remake of popular TV series, Thunderbirds Are Go! A cavern of creativity, the Weta Workshop Cave shop also boasts collectibles designed by the artists at Weta Workshop, prop replicas, apparel, jewellery, books and more. While you’re here, take a seat and enjoy a short documentary about the history of film-making on the Miramar Peninsula. KAITOKE REGIONAL PARK, LOCATED A 40-minute drive from Wellington, contains a treat for fans of Lord of the Rings. It is part of a region known as Pakuratahi, at the head of the valley of Te Awakairangi.
