Budapest may be Hungary’s most popular tourist destination, but that doesn’t mean the countryside of Budapest has nothing to offer. As time goes by, more and more tourists are heading outside of the Hungarian capital to explore vineyards, beautiful scenery and delicious food. Luckily, there’s one region where you can enjoy all three and more: Lake Balaton, the largest lake in Central Europe.
