Drive North through the countryside to Koulen Mountain. First, visit the Ta Kho Cliff. Next, we’ll visit the Buddhist Pagoda, and observe people praying. You’ll wander through the Temple and climb up to view the Giant Reclining Buddha statue. We’ll spend 15 minutes trekking through the village to the Waterfall. There, you may want to swim and relax. We’ll move the River of thousands Siva Lingas, spend 30 minutes walking along the riverbank, and view hundreds of Siva Lingas carved into the sandstone Riverbed. Then, we’ll take 1 hour drive to explore the fascinating Beng Mealea temple. With your expert Tour Guide, you’ll enter the Temple from the West Gate, walk through the Jungle Path to the central Temple, and creep around the Sanctuary to view the Trees overgrow on the Towers and Galleries. Then, you’ll venture deep into the central and up to the upper terraces of this truly great temple. Next up, If the time permits, the Guide will take you to the Ancient Quarry.

Phnom Kulen has major symbolic importance for Cambodia as the birthplace of the ancient Khmer Empire, for it was at Phnom Kulen that King Jayavarma II proclaimed independence from Java in 802 AD. Half an hour drive to the summit of the Koulen Mountain. Visit the 16th century Buddist Temple (Phra Ang Tho), and it was here that King Jayavaraman II declared independence from Java in 802AD
