Our guide and driver pick you up from the hotel and transfer you to the starting location in Siem Reap. The tour starts with a transfer to the floating village on the great Tonle Sap Lake. Here we board a powered boat that will power through the canal’s heavy overgrowth on the way to the Mechrey floating village. At the village, we don our safety equipment and then embark on our fiberglass Kayaks. As you kayak gently through this floating village, you’ll be welcomed by warm smiles from the humble Cambodian people who live on this fantastic lake. Get back to our Kayak Station (one of the floating houses in the Mechrey floating village) and enjoy the snacks, drinks, using the bathroom before we take a short transfer again by powered boat to the mangrove forest. Kayaking through the mangrove forest and watching the birds is the main highlight of this tour (in the low water season between March to June we kayak in the Open Lake Waters and watch the water bird instead). He/She will also explain the local village customs, and how the people there live, work, and trade before stopping at a great spot for a stunning Tonle Sap Lake sunset photo opportunity.
