Besides Kyoto, the magnificent city of Kamakura in the Kanagawa Prefecture is another great area in Japan where you can go around to see incredible shrines and temples. All throughout this walking tour, you’ll be accompanied by a fun and engaging tour guide who will weave fascinating tales about the history of Japanese Buddhism and the legendary samurai. You’ll visit a good number of these consecrated spaces in this tour, such as: 1) Jochi-ji Temple, where you can offer a prayer for happiness by the statue of Hotei; 2) the Zeniarai Benten, which is popular among tourists because it’s said that washing your money in the waters of its cave spring will multiply it; 3) the Kotoku-in Temple where the towering Great Buddha statue can be found; 4) the Sasuke Inari Shrine, which was used as a base of operations for descendants of the ninja under the Kamakura shogunate; 5) the Hase Temple at the middle of Mount Kamakura, where you can get splendid views of the surrounding landscape. To cap off this tour, you’ll be brought to the beautiful Yuigahama Beach where you can go for a lovely stroll on its soft sands, admire the gorgeous azure hue of the sea, and try out some local cuisine at your own expense. This is a must-book tour for history buffs and for those who are fascinated with holy places
