This immersive experience begins with a cultural visit to the Guarani village of Rio Silveiras, home to over 600 Indigenous people across five community centers. Led by a guide, you’ll explore traditional homes, meet the community, and take part in meaningful cultural exchanges.
The visit includes:
• Traditional songs, dances, and ceremonies • Indigenous body painting with jenipapo • Archery training with handcrafted bows • Open-air craft market with local handmade goods and fresh hearts of palm • Optional forest trail and refreshing river bath at the Silveiras River, surrounded by Atlantic Forest fauna and flora
After the village visit, unwind at Itaguare Beach, a hidden gem just 20 minutes away. This nearly deserted beach is perfect for ecotourism and swimming, featuring soft white sand, calm waves, natural pools, and lush native vegetation.
This is a respectful and sustainable experience — part of the fee directly supports the community’s cultural and environmental projects.
Pickup included
Travel from Santos to the Village After picking you up in Santos or nearby, we begin our journey towards the city of Bertioga, where the Indigenous village is located. The drive takes approximately 1 hour and 30 to 1 hour and 50 minutes, depending on traffic and weather conditions. Along the way, you'll enjoy scenic views of the coastal Atlantic Forest and rural areas of São Paulo state. Note: This is a 10-hour tour and is not suitable for cruise ship passengers who must return to the port in the afternoon. It is only feasible if your ship departs late at night and you’re able to start the tour early in the morning.
Cultural Immersion at the Guarani Village Upon arrival, we’re welcomed by members of the Aldeia Rio Silveiras, a Guarani Indigenous village with over 600 residents. A local Guarani guide leads the cultural activities. This experience includes: • Opening circle and welcome conversation • Demonstration of traditional songs, dances, and rituals • Body painting using jenipapo (a natural black dye) • Archery training with handmade bows and arrows • Visit to the open-air craft market, with handmade goods, fresh hearts of palm, and other local products You also have the option to take a short trail to the Rio Silveiras, where you can enjoy a peaceful bath in a crystal-clear river surrounded by Atlantic rainforest.
Visit to Itaguare Beach After the village experience, we take a break for lunch — either at the village itself (if previously arranged) or at a charming nearby seafood restaurant (meal not included). We then continue with a 20-minute drive to reach Itaguare Beach, one of the most pristine and scenic beaches on the São Paulo coast. Nestled within an environmental protection area, this beach remains largely untouched, with soft white sand, natural pools, and lush native vegetation. You'll have approximately 1 to 1.5 hours of free time to: • Stroll along the peaceful shoreline • Swim in the calm, clear waters or relax in the natural rock pools • Simply unwind and enjoy the raw beauty of the Atlantic Forest meeting the ocean This relaxing beach stop offers the perfect contrast to the cultural immersion — a moment to connect with nature before heading back to the city.
