Itinerary

Khe Sanh

Khe Sanh Combat Base was never overrun, but saw the bloodiest battle of the war. About 500 Americans, 10,000 North Vietnamese troops and uncounted civilian bystanders died around this remote highland base. It’s eerily peaceful today, but in 1968 the hillsides trembled with the impact of 1000kg bombs, white phosphorus shells, napalm, mortars and endless artillery rounds, as desperate American forces sought to repel the NVA. Khe Sanh Combat Base is now a popular tourist destination for people interested in learning more about the Vietnam War and its historical milestones. There are numerous things to see and do in Khe Sanh. The guide will tell you many stories about the Vietnam war that you won’t be able to find on the Internet. Today, Khe Sanh houses a small museum with some amazing historical images, as well as a few reconstructed bunkers and American planes. The museum, in particular, contains a plethora of historical remnants or objects that must be explored.

Cam Lo

Rockpile Vietnam, also known by the US military as Elliot Battle Base, is an isolated karst rock that juts north of Route 9 and south of the Vietnam DMZ. This place used to be a US observation base during the Vietnam War. Its location makes it relatively difficult to reach. You need to use a helicopter to reach the top of the hill. When entering a time of peace, this is no longer an observatory but becomes a tourist destination. Every year, many tourists go to Rockpile to remember the heroic war days of the Vietnamese people. There are some American veterans who also regularly visit to remember the hard times of the war. Although it is difficult to reach, visitors can still see the Rockpile base from afar and take pictures of it.
