Valladolid

This fabulous excursion begins early in the morning in the historic center of Valladolid, where we will meet at 7:45 AM for check-in and then depart at approximately 8:00 AM in our luxury panoramic vans headed to Ek Balam.

Ek Balam Village

We’ll head north to the mystical ruins of Ek Balam, a lesser-known yet powerful ancient Mayan city. Once there, you’ll explore its temples, ball courts, and climb the impressive Acropolis, one of the tallest structures in the region. Inside the Acropolis lies the tomb of King Ukit Kan Le’k Tok’, surrounded by a stunning offering of over 7,000 artifacts—including ceramics, conch, coral, and gold alloy. His resting place reveals the incredible power and reverence this ruler once held. As you walk through the site, every stone tells a story—of kings, rituals, and a civilization that shaped history.

Cenote Hubiku

After immersing ourselves in Yucatán’s ancient history, we’ll head to the magical Hubiku Cenote—a natural underground sanctuary. As sunlight filters through a skylight above, it dances across the crystal-clear waters, creating a truly dreamlike scene. Take a refreshing swim in this 27-meter-deep sacred pool, once used by the Maya for spiritual rituals. Floating in its cool waters, you’ll feel part of something timeless and extraordinary. Hungry after your swim? We’ll treat you to a delicious buffet-style lunch at a local restaurant—perfect to recharge and savor authentic Yucatecan flavors.
