Elfreth's Alley is named after Jeremiah Elfreth, an 18th-century blacksmith. Our tour starts here to give you a glimpse of what the city looked like during the American revolution. While much of Philadelphia has changed, this alleyway has remained the same, and today it’s designated a National Historic Landmark.
