At 8:00 AM, your tour guide will pick you up and provide a safety briefing before we embark on our ride. Our first stop will be the Long Bien Bridge, which is the oldest bridge in Hanoi and was constructed over 100 years ago during the French colonial era. From here, we will be able to admire the scenic view of the Red River, observe the passing boats beneath us, and catch a glimpse of the lush vegetable farms on the island.
Next, we will travel through the countryside alongside the Red River, where we can soak in the breathtaking natural scenery of Vietnam and observe farmers tending to their crops. Along the way, we will visit a local family who specializes in crafting bonsai trees. This visit will provide us with an opportunity to learn about this intricate art form and admire some of the family's most stunning plant creations. Our guide will serve as a translator, facilitating conversation between us and the family, allowing us to gain a deeper understanding of their daily life and traditions.
Afterward, we will continue our motorbike journey to a nearby wet market where we can sample a variety of delicious tropical fruits. Later, we will make a pit stop at Lotus Lake, where we can quench our thirst with refreshing sugarcane juice or other locally-sourced beverages. We will then continue our cycling adventure, traversing through dirt roads and rural villages until we reach Co Loa Ancient Citadel. This historic site, built in 200 BC, is a symbol of Vietnam's longstanding tradition of establishing and protecting the country from foreign invaders, such as Thuc Phan An Duong Vuong. Our visit here will allow us to gain insight into this rich historical legacy.
