See the Kesselhaus Hamburg. The tour will go in the direction of the Speicherstadt museum and finish at one of the newest city landmarks, the Elbphilharmonie. You will also enter the Elbphilharmonie viewing platform. You will be amazed by the spectacular views of the whole harbour offered by this is the tallest structure in the city. From the outside, the landmark concert venue resembles a hoisted sail, iceberg or a water wave standing on top of the original 1966 brick façade. It’s a grand manifestation of how Speicherstadt successfully combines old traditions with modernity.
Visit the Speicherstadtmuseum inside. Located in the authentic setting of a warehouse from 1888, the museum illustrates how the local warehouse keepers used to store, sample and refine high-quality imported goods. This is the best place to learn about Hamburg's trade history, with tools and goods such as coffee, cocoa and rubber on display. Many of the exponents can be touched and tried, so children will enjoy this place as well.
