Gyoda City in Saitama Prefecture is located approximately one hour by train from the Tokyo metropolitan area. Visitors can enjoy a ninja experience at the “Ninja Castle,” a Japanese Heritage site in Gyoda City. Visitors can experience shuriken throwing as if it were a game, or wear a ninja costume to experience what it feels like to be a ninja. The Narita clan, lords of the Osh Castle in the Warring States period, belonged to the Hojo clan. The Hojo clan once had a group of ninja named “fuma”.
