Discover the Museum at the hands of a professional local guide licensed in Art History from the University of the Basque Country. These two hours of visit will be very complete and enjoyable because not only the exhibitions of the moment will be visited, there will be a tour of its exterior enjoying the best perspectives of its architecture and also information about the Bilbao motif will be inserted as the place chosen for its building. Inside the building we will visit the permanent and temporary collections accessing them through different places to be able to appreciate its interior image from all perspectives. As it is impossible to be able to visit the entire museum in its entirety, at the end of the tour you will be guided to be able to tour the rest freely, since the entrance allows you to visit the museum again during the same day.
Monday Tour from 16-6/21-9
We will start touring the exterior and interior of the museum, making a brief introduction about the origin of Bilbao and how was the city chosen to house the last great museum of the twentieth century. We will talk about its architecture and its architect Frank Ghery in its spectacular atrium, from there we will see its exterior talking about the sculptures and that they are part of its surroundings. Then we will see the temporary exhibitions that are exhibited, deepening the works, their authors, their artistic tendencies and aspects that may be interesting to better understand the exhibitions. The purpose of the experience is to get closer to the world of art, especially contemporary art, and try not to be unknown to us.
