During this guided tour in French of SoHo, Greenwich Village and Meatpacking District, we invite you to discover 3 authentic districts of Lower Manhattan!
Our French guides, expatriates in New York for years, are keen to make you spend a friendly moment full of original discoveries!
The meeting is taken in the heart of SoHo, with its remarkable wrought iron balconies and exterior staircases (the famous cast-iron buildings made famous by West Side Story), and its no less remarkable fashion boutiques!
Then towards Greenwich Village, nicknamed “The Village”, a former artistic and bohemian refuge steeped in history, with in particular a stop at Washington Square Park, a space of relaxation very popular with students of NYU but also by chess players and street artists who provide almost permanent entertainment.
Finally, you will walk the cobblestones of the Meatpacking District: the old slaughterhouse district has become the new trendy district of the city, the abandoned warehouses have given way to art galleries, craft markets (Gansevoort Market…) and this line aerial railway transformed into a veritable “green flow”, the marvelous High Line!
You will make your own way to the meeting points
The meeting point is set inside Lt. Petrosino Square (a small triangular park located at the junction of Lafayette Street and Spring Street). Nearest tube station: Spring St (line 6).
