Stop 1 – Theodorou Island (The Island of Guardians) Our first anchor drop is at Theodorou Island, a protected sanctuary both wild and storied. Here roam the rare and majestic Kri Kri goats, native to Crete and nearly impossible to spot elsewhere. Beneath the surface lies a haunting memory: the sunken wreck of a WWII German aircraft, now claimed by the sea. Snorkel around the site as fish dart through the wreckage — a living museum submerged in silence and salt.
Stop 2 – Lazareta Island (The Isle of Isolation) We then chart a course to Lazareta, a tiny island once used as a Venetian quarantine station — now a place of stillness and surreal beauty. Its turquoise waters, soft shores, and calm energy offer a perfect pause for swimming, relaxing, and letting time slip away. This is one of Chania’s least-visited gems, known only to those who follow the whispers of the wind.
