The Chancillería Real is a palace in the Classicist style ordered to be built by Charles V in the 16th century, although it was originally created as a High Court of Justice by the Catholic Monarchs. It is located in the Plaza Nueva.
The Calderería is a small area in the lower Albayzín, full of bazaars reminiscent of the old Arab souks. It is formed by the pedestrian streets of Calderería Nueva and Calderería Vieja, which transport us to a Moorish medina, where the art of haggling can still be practised.
Located in the heart of the Albaicín, next to what was once one of the ancient mosques of the Muslim city, it is the most emblematic viewpoint in Granada.
