The Arnarker cave is a more unknown over 500 m-long lava tunnel. In comparison to the well-known "Lava tunnel", this cave is more natural and more adventurous—a true caving experience in a very small group of up to 6 people. Led by a professional geologist you will learn everything about the cration on lava tunnels and volcanism in Iceland.
During winter, you can discover stunning ice formations along the countless geological features.

The Arnarker cave is a 516 m-long lava cave within the Leitahraun lava field. The cave is in most parts wide and high. The cave is part of the Brennisteinsfjöll volcanic system, that is active since the early Holocene The Leitahraun lava field is about 5200 years old, one of the biggest lava fields in the system.
