Wadi El-Rayan

It is less than two hours away from Cairo. Wadi El Rayan Nature Reserve is part of Fayoum Governorate, about 75 km from Fayoum. It was named after King Al-Rayyan bin Al-Walid, who lived in the area with his army.

Fayoum Oasis
There are waterfalls in Fayoum other than those in Wadi El-Rayyan. Amidst the lush green fields of Fayoum Governorate, a system of seven waterfalls is hidden magically. The falls are located in Manshit Zafer, also known as the Mixed Village, in the administrative center of Itsa. These waterfalls result from the unique topography of Faiyum, which slopes steeply from south to north for a distance of 67 meters at 35 kilometers toward Lake Qarun.
