Fatima, even for the laity is a unique experience. You can pause to pray at the Chapel of the Apparitions. Nazaré is undoubtedly a very famous place for its waves, surfed every year by thousands of swimmers, but what makes it unique are the world competitions. Finally, the return journey towards Lisbon will take us to Obidos, a medieval village with a Romanesque foundation, where we will be able to taste the typical "Ginginha" liqueur, offered in a small glass of chocolate.
We will visit the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Fatima. The Village of Valinhos with the house of the 3 shepherd children, who appeared to Our Lady in 1917. Later we will go to Nazaré to admire the giant waves, homeland of surfers, where we will have lunch. After the refreshment, we will continue towards the medieval town of Obidos, founded by the Romans, an ancient village where we will be able to taste the typical "Ginginha" in a small glass of chocolate.
We could admire a beautiful landscape from the promontory of the upper city. From October to March you will also be able to observe the world famous high waves where the world surfing championships are held every year. We will then visit the Church dedicated to Our Lady of Nazare
The medieval village of Obidos is particularly pretty, it has also been considered the city of lovers. Several Portuguese royals stayed here during the period of the Monarchy. Here we will walk the ancient walls and experience a typical liqueur, the Ginginha.
