Admission provides all day access to the multiple spaces. Wander the Hundertwasser in New Zealand 1973-2000 exhibition and be inspired by the largest collection of Hundertwasser artworks outside of Vienna as well as living examples of his ecological practices. Wairau Māori Art Gallery, the world’s first dedicated Māori public art gallery has changing exhibitions. Atop the building is the award-winning Afforested Roof with golden cupola providing sweeping views of the Hātea River and city. A small film theatre runs documentaries on a loop & the MuseumShop has a large selection of Hundertwasser’s applied art, unique objects and gifts as well as Wairau Māori Art Gallery merchandise. To complete the experience enjoy the onsite Café-Restaurant overlooking the marina serving brunch, lunch and dinner. Visitors can self guide or take a tour (additional charge) which tells the story of Hundertwasser, his legacy of a life lived in harmony with nature and his connection to New Zealand.
