Located in the highest part of Morella and built using natural stone, it was one of the most important fortresses in the Mediterranean. The Castle has been inhabited since the Neolithic and different civilizations such as Iberians, Romans, Arabs and Christians have passed through it; and famous figures in history such as El Cid, Jaume I, San Vicente Ferrer and Papa Luna.
The Governor's Palace, embedded among the rocks, stands out inside the enclosure.
Military fortress located at the top of a rock has been testimony of the passage of numerous civilizations and witness of innumerable battles that have left their mark. At the landscape level, the spectacular view that can be seen from the Plaza de Armas (highest place in the Castle) stands out. AUDIOGUIDE available through the free application: Castles and Palaces
