Our experienced guide will present a master class on the Mexican cultural holiday of "Day of the Dead" while we tour the oldest existing cemetery in Puerto Vallarta. We will visit some of the most important graves of people and families in the history of Puerto Vallarta and hear stories of their lives. Tour will also include detailed explanations of the Day of the Dead inspired murals (about 20) in the area that we encounter during our easy walking tour. We will also visit a shrine dedicated to the death cult that was outlawed by the Catholic Church and is rated as the fasted growing religious movement in the Americas. Before that we meet outside the old neighborhood fish, fruits, spice & vegetable market and do a guided tour of the stands including the Tortilla Factory. Near the end of the tour we will explore down the "Main Street" of the 5 Decembre neighborhood ending at a favorite restaurant to end the tour. We highly recommend that you eat lunch after the tour here.
