What's included in Coffee and Cocoa Full 1-Day Experience from Cusco

(Subject to Option Inclusions)

We started this great experience very early: We leave Cusco at 4:00 AM or the Sacred Valley (Ollantaytambo or Urubamba) between 5:00 and 5:30 AM, crossing spectacular Andean landscapes until reaching the imposing Abra Málaga, at 4,300 m above sea level (14,100 ft). We make short stops to enjoy the views (we can see llamas and alpacas grazing freely) and enjoy a coffee or cup of chocolate at 4300 meters (optional). At the organic farm of Julia and José you will meet medicinal plants, taste seasonal fruits and harvest cobs. Then you’ll roast, grind and prepare your own hot chocolate, and discover new combinations by tasting 100% cocoa paste with fresh fruit. After a home-cooked lunch and a short 20-minute drive, you’ll visit the Perez family coffee farm: you’ll tour the cafeterias, harvest, pulp, ferment and roast the coffee. We'll end the day with a cup prepared by you. It is an authentic experience, full of learnings, flavors and connection with families that cultivate with passion and respect for nature. Approximate Return Time: 7:00 PM to the Sacred Valley / 9:00 PM to Cusco.
