This tour starts 9:15 am. Immerse yourself in a unique experience and discover the culture and history of the indigenous peoples of San Juan Chamula and Zinacantán! This tour starts from the cafeteria "Al Grano Café" in San Cristobal then you will head to San Juan Chamula, where you will discover the beauty of the typical costume made with sheep wool being a true work of art; you will visit its main temple dedicated to San Juan Bautista, a place considered mystical and sacred by the inhabitants. Later you will meet Zinacantán, there the women wear typical costumes with diversity of hand-woven flowers. It is a show rich in culture and traditions of these indigenous peoples. In addition, you will visit the church of San Lorenzo Martir, and learn about the technique of the waist loom. At the end of the day you will return to San Cristobal.

San Juan Chamula

We start our departure from the beautiful city of San Cristóbal de Las Casas from the "Cafeteria Al Grano"; until we reach the enigmatic and beautiful indigenous town of San Juan Chamula, a Mayan-Tzotzil community, governed by its own uses and customs, where we visit its main temple dedicated to San Juan Bautista, a place considered by the inhabitants as a mystical and sacred temple for that photography is prohibited inside the church. We continue this magnificent journey towards the community of Zinacantán.

Zinacantan

As we continue on our tour, we arrive at the picturesque community of Zinacantán. Here, we explore the rich culture and traditions of the community, and marvel at its impressive crafts and hand-woven fabrics. From the vibrant market to its colorful houses, Zinacantán is a place that will leave you spellbound and inspire you to discover even more about the richness of Mexican culture. At the end, return to San Cristóbal de Las Casas.

To end this adventure we will take the passengers back to San Cristóbal de Las Casas; We will drop you off at the "Cafeteria Al Grano" in the city center in front of the central park, so that you can return to your lodging on your own to rest and enjoy the unforgettable memories that your mind and heart created with this wonderful trip.
