— Product Info —

  • Meet at the Prague Florenc Bus Station before journeying to Český Krumlov, also known as the "Pearl of the Bohemian Forest". This one-day guided tour takes you on a journey through a well preserved medieval town.
  • Krumlov Castle (Státní hrad a zámek Český Krumlov)
Kurenlov Castle is the second largest group of castles in the Czech Republic made up of forty buildings and five castle courts. Here, you will be guided through each of the five courtyards, where you will learn of the historical uses of its surrounding buildings, ranging from stables, warehouses, wineries, and knights’ residences. As you navigate these medieval buildings, you’ll notice unique details in each building, including symmetrical architectural features, painted windows, and colorful murals depicting Greek and Roman mythology, and those of the Renaissance. The fifth courtyard is marked as one of the must-see spots which feature Baroque-style bedrooms, chapel, theater (one of only three remaining in the world), and a beautiful castle garden.
  • St. Vital Cathedral (Kostel svatého Víta)
Built in 1407, it is one of the landmarks of Český Krumlov town, and an example of a typical Gothic building. The tombs of Wilhelm von Rosenberg, the most influential figure of the Rosenberg family in the 16th century, and his third wife, Anna Marie Rosenberg, are buried here.
  • Cloak Bridge (Mantelbrücke).
This three-storied bridge was built in 1767, measuring 30 meters in length and standing 40 meters tall, supported by massive stone pillars. This impressive technical construction connects the fourth and fifth courtyards of the Krumlov Castle, and spans the moat on the castle’s western side. Though it was once demolished by the French army, it was rebuilt later and is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You will find many statues of saints along the bridge, and scenic views of the town.
  • Old Town Square (Unity Square)
As the center of the town, all roads scatter radially or circularly from this square. A mixture of Baroque, Renaissance, and Gothic buildings are preserved around the square, giving it a unique and storybook appeal. A Black Death Memorial Column, found in every medieval square, can also be found in the Old Town Square.
