Cajón del Maipo & Valle de La Engorda Experience

Early in the morning, and with the mountain breeze caressing us, we undertake a 1km walk from the Cabrerío sector - bordering the Hidden Needle hill before entering the Engorda Valley. We will witness high peaks such as the Arena, Catedral, Navarrete and Punta Zanzi hills, the prelude to the imposing San José volcano - (5,880 m.a.s.l.) Given the geography of the valley, you will have a 360 ° panoramic view of the surrounding peaks and, if we are lucky, we will have the opportunity to observe our emblematic national bird, the condor. Foxes, vizcacha hares, caranchos and eagles, among other species, are also participants in our tour. We will reach a point where we can observe and contemplate for a few minutes the Engorda Valley in all its fullness. To end the day as it should, we will stop to eat a box lunch of typical Chilean food (empanada), along with a soda to liven up the journey.
