Besides the classic, dark Black Forest gorge hike next to waterfalls, you get a lot of Black Forest history, a few touristy things, the oldest chapel in the Black Forest, the areas largest cuckoo clock.
After the hike you can spend some time in the town of Hinterzarten shopping or eating at one of the many places. Our app provides you with all the info you need to find your way around Hinterzarten.
How much time do I need? The Ravenna Gorge Hike itself is only 8 km long – but we have included lots of stops, therefore it can take half a day before you get back to the starting point – depending on your fitness level. If you are a fit person, calculate 3-4 hours round-trip. If you take breaks, have a picnic on the waterfalls or just want to take it easy, consider more time.

Our tour has a lot of pictures and descriptions to provide you with all the background info on the sights you see while hiking. You need to install our (IOS & Android) app prior to touring and then download the tour content onto your mobile phone. Everything you need is included in one download. There is content, images and maps. This tour is available in English only. Once you download the tour, everything is entirely contained on your device, you do not need a data plan. The tour will function without a cellular connection. Important: Download our app any time after purchase. 24 hours before tour start, we will email you a password to unlock the tour content.

- This is a self-guided hiking tour. It is not a live tour with a guide. Take a train from Freiburg to Hinterzarten. Trains depart every 20 minutes, the train ride takes 30 minutes. You can buy train tickets in Freiburg. Our hike starts when getting off the train.

This hiking tour starts at the train station in Hinterzarten. There are shops and restaurants in Hinterzarten which you can visit prior or after your hike. We recommend to carry some cash also as some shops and cafes don't accept credit cards. Before arrival, please install the 2gotours mobile app and download the tour content onto your phone. Follow these steps to download the tour onto your mobile phone: Step 1: Download our app here: https://2gotours.com/#app Step 2: Inside the app, click on 'All Tours' and locate 'GetyourGuide & Viator'. Click on 'Ravenna Gorge Hike' Step 3: The password to access the tour content is being emailed to you 24 hours prior to tour start. If you don't see the password in your Viator app please contact us immediately and we will resend. Step 4: Click the Heart icon (Favorites) in the top right corner of the 'Ravenna Gorge Hike'. The Heart icon will save the tour under your Profile. Step 5: On to bottom of the App you will notice 4 tabs. Click on the Profile tab. Your Profile now contains the tour you have just downloaded onto your phone. Step 6: Once you downloaded the tour click on 'Start Tour'. On the next screen you will see a hiking map and three small dots in the top right corner of the map. Click on the dots and read through 'how the App works'. Then return to the map.
