Meet your group and tour guide in front of the historic North West Mounted Police Barracks to begin your tour of downtown Canmore. After learning about the origins of Canmore, we’ll stroll through the streets, stopping at some of the town’s local eateries along the way. Our first tasting stops may include pastries from a French bakery, handmade bagel sandwiches, specialty olive oils, traditional Canadian poutine, and artisanal gelato. Our tour continues with a look into Canmore’s rich history—from its roots as a bustling coal mining town to its remarkable evolution into the outdoor adventure destination it is today. Along the way, we’ll make additional delicious food stops, which may include savory focaccia sandwiches, locally made ice cream, a hearty British-inspired chowder, and a unique take on a classic Canadian vegetable dish.
Bonus for Thursday 10:30 AM tours starting May 22nd to end of September: Guests can opt to end the tour with a short walk to the Canmore Mountain Market, guided by your host. This vibrant seasonal market features fresh local produce and artisan goods—from hand-thrown pottery to finely crafted woodwork.
