Bali Diving for Beginners: Tulamben Liberty Wreck
There’s no better way to explore our beautiful island than scuba diving and discovering Bali’s amazing marine life! If you’ve never been diving before or are not certified, then this is the diving trip for you! This day trip includes basic training and two dives in the world-famous diving destination of Tulamben. You will go with your own dive master. Lunch, transport to/from your hotel (see details below), and dive equipment are all included.

(Subject to Option Inclusions)Located on Bali’s northeast coast, Tulamben offers remarkable opportunities for beginner divers. During your trip, you will be able to dive at Bali’s most famous scuba diving site, the USAT Liberty Wreck. This is one of the most accessible wreck dives in the world. We will also dive at the Coral Garden, or alternatively the Drop Off. You’ll be able to spot hundreds of marine species such as turtles, bumphead parrotfish, sweetlips, clownfish, eels, and sharks! Safety is our #1 priority, so each beginner diver will be accompanied by their own dive master during the entire dive. You will receive a pre-dive training on basic dive techniques and will practice these skills in the shallow water. After diving, we will eat lunch and drive you back to your hotel. Our team is 100% local, so we are very familiar with the dive sites. We love helping other adventurers discover what’s so special about this place! - Not recommended for pregnant travelers
- Not recommended for travelers with poor cardiovascular health
- Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
- No previous dive experience required; however participants should have adequate swimming skills
- Must be at least 12 years old to dive
- A minimum of 18 hours before taking flight is required
- Not recommended for travelers with breathing/lung conditions, including asthma
Meet
Pickup and Dropoff
You can choose to be picked up from a list of locations, or alternatively, have the choice to make your own way to the meeting points
Please arrive at the pick up point 30 minutes before departure time.
Additional Information
We offer free pickup and drop-off from most hotels in Tulamben and Amed. If you are staying outside of these areas we can still pick you up, there just may be an additional charge. Recommended pick-up time from Amed is 7:00am. Recommended pick-up time from Tulamben is 7:30am. To coordinate pick-up, please send your name, desired pick-up time, and hotel name/address.
Meeting / End Points
- If you are driving yourself, please meet us at our dive shop (Let's Dive Tulamben) which is located along the main road in Tulamben.
