- What You Can Expect -
Admire the Tagus river bay while crossing the Ponte Vasco da Gama. At 17km, it’s one of the longest bridges in Europe. Our first stop will be at the Castle of Palmela, where after enjoying the views in all directions, we can ascend the castle tower for an amazing photo opportunity.
Drive through the Arrabida wine region, passing many vineyards, cork, and olive trees. Visit a beautiful local family-owned vineyard in the heart of the Arrábida park, where it is time to relax and taste some wines. Enjoy one of the most beautiful scenic drives in Portugal, with a great chance to take spectacular photos from the highest point of the Arrábida Natural Park (500m peak) with breathtaking views over the Atlantic Ocean and the Portinho da Arrábida beach.
Drive through the picturesque Arrábida wine region, passing vineyards, cork, and olive trees, and visit a charming family-owned vineyard in the heart of the park for a relaxing wine tasting. Marvel at the breathtaking views from the 500m peak of the Arrábida Natural Park, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and the beautiful Portinho da Arrábida beach. Enjoy a leisurely lunch in the scenic fishing village of Sesimbra, with time to relax on the beach, before heading to Azeitão for a guided wine tasting at one of the region’s oldest and most renowned cellars, still family-owned since the 1800s.
Last, but not least, we will stop at Cristo Rei (inspired by Rio de Janeiro’s statue of Cristo Redentor) for great views over Lisbon and the river Tejo, and then return to the city taking the 25th of April Bridge.
