Lido BeachPass-by Only
Lido is what this avenue is commonly known for and is one of the most touristy areas in Funchal city, filled with restaurants for every taste and hotels. It is also known for having the best beach facilities in Funchal. Discover this famous avenue on your way to Cabo Girão, on a 45min ride.
Cabo Girao
Going towards one of the most mesmerizing attractions in Madeira island, Cabo Girão. This is the highest viewpoint in Europe, and it is only a 2 min walk from Cabo Girão´s village. This incredible viewpoint is at an incredible elevation of 580m, and is mostly famous due to its glass platform, which can be crossed by foot. Definitely not a viewpoint for the faint of heart, with a glass platform that makes it look at all the beautiful panoramas. The glass platform makes it possible to look at the view, and make someone feel as if walking on top of the cliff. It presents an astonishing view of Fajãs of Rancho and Cabo Girão. From up there it is possible to observe magnificent panoramic views of the ocean and the city of both Funchal and Câmara de Lobos. This spot is also used for paragliding and base-jumping, due to its altitude and positioning. Condé Nast Traveler chose Cabo Girão as the fifth-best viewpoint in the world, due to its astonishing splendour and its unique surroundings.
Camara De Lobos
The tour concludes near the original departure point, just 5 km east of Funchal where we can find a traditional village, called Câmara de Lobos. This city is greatly known for its fishing port. Moreover, this small fishing town is now being recognized by a great social project. With this project the municipal chamber was able to reduce and reuse plastic. All the collected trash gave origin to unique and handmade decorations and gave the streets more colour and character. To conclude this project, it took six months and a signifying group of people. Lastly, the tour concludes near the original departure point.
