Our shared one-way sunset tour from Monterosso to La Spezia is a perfect opportunity to not only see the beauty of the Cinque Terre by sea, but to take in the splendour of the twilight hours while cruising along the coast towards Portovenere and the Gulf of the Poets! Departing from Monterosso, we will pass by all five villages of the Cinque Terre before heading down the coast. There will be time to stop and swim in one of the crystalline coves along the way before reaching the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Portovenere with its very particular narrow coloured houses and the breathtaking St. Peter’s Church. We will also take you into Byron’s Grotto, one of the most treasured places along the Ligurian coast. With the stunning backdrop of Portovenere, we will await the sunset while enjoying an aperitivo featuring local pesto and fresh focaccia. This tour also includes service of local wine, beer, water and soft drinks.
The northernmost village of the Cinque Terre is Monterosso, which is divided into two sides: the historic center and the "new" side called Fegina, with a pedestrian tunnel connecting the two. Monterosso is larger than the other towns and is the only one that offers beach services, making it the most visited of the Cinque Terre. We will pass by slowly to be able to see the village and take photos. There is a speed limit within the Cinque Terre National Park, so this tour has a nice, slow pace to allow you to soak in all the beautiful scenery.
Vernazza the smallest of the Cinque Terre, and commonly known as the most charming with a beautiful little port and the Church of Santa Margherita d'Antiochia which stands right on the water. Here you will also see the Torre del Belforte which is located right on the harbour as a protective beacon for the small village. We will pass by slowly to be able to see the village and take photos. There is a speed limit within the Cinque Terre National Park, so this tour has a nice, slow pace to allow you to soak in all the beautiful scenery.
Perched 100 meters high on a cliff, Corniglia is the only one of the towns without a port and has a panoramic terrace from which you can see Manarola and Riomaggiore to the south and Vernazza and Monterosso to the north. We will pass by slowly to be able to see the village and take photos.
